Why You'll Love It
Beautiful 3-bedroom, 3 bath, well-maintained country home on 9.82 acres with a 24' x 24' shop building. Built in 2000 with 1,300 sq/ft finished upstairs and 740 finished in the 1,300 sq/ft basement. This spacious cedar log home has the natural wood ambiance, stone-fronted fireplace, and real wood detailing that blends the interior beauty with the natural beauty outside the spectacular windows. Leave the windows open and be serenaded by the sweet songs of several bird species, or go out on the wrap-around porch and enjoy the birds and deer with the sunrise or sunset. Your dream of country living comes true with the many comforts of a well-built modern home. This home has the rich charm of abundant high-quality real wood, from the hardwood floors to the tongue-in-groove pine ceilings, and everywhere in between. Even with a king bed, the large master bedroom is spacious. The master bath includes a walk-in closet right where you need it most. A substantial remodel in 2023 added additional high-quality finishes and features, including the full basement where one bedroom, a bathroom, a family room, and a wet bar are located. The basement also has a garage/workshop and lots of storage. Private well and septic means you never get a monthly water and sewer bill. Dog owners will appreciate the fencing. Enjoy the appealing mix of woods and wildflower meadows. Add 300 feet of fencing and have 8 acres with a pond for horses or other stock. No restrictions. On a paved County Road and conveniently located just a couple of miles from Mountain View with its hospital, Walmart, and many other businesses. Also located close to your public lands, including the Barn Hollow Natural Area and the spectacular Jacks Fork portion of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. The 2024 annual taxes were just $1,373.88.
I fell in love with the local area while camping and floating here as a child. The local area’s beauty, natural wonders, and its friendly people inspired me to get a degree in Wildlife Management and learn everything I could about the Ozarks. During my long career in the Ozarks I steadily worked my way closer to the Current River. Along that route I was a naturalist for Missouri State Parks, a wildlife biologist for the MO. Dept. of Conservation in Eminence, and I am currently an ecologist for the National Park Service. My wife Susan and I enjoy our Blooming Paradise Farm on Little Shawnee Creek, where we still love learning everything we can about nature and our area’s cultural history. This passion for the land and its people led me to join the Eminence United Country team. My advanced skills at mapmaking, locating property boundaries, and my experience at turning dreams of rural living into happy reality can bring sellers and buyers together to enjoy what others only dream about. I specialize in land outside the city limits, in both Shannon and Reynolds counties. Please contact me to assist you in evaluating the potential of any rural property.
