I make my home just outside of Eminence along with my wife Michelle and two daughters Merissa and Macie. A life long resident of the area, I enjoys hunting, fishing, and the vast array of outdoor activities Southern Missouri offers.
I am a 1998 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia where I earned a Bachelors degree in Fisheries & Wildlife Management. The first six years of my career were spent working for the Missouri Dept. of Conservation as a Wildlife Management Biologist in various parts of Southern Missouri. During this time my primary focus was on managing large tracts of public land for recreational use, habitat development, and economic return. In addition to these duties, I spent a great deal of time working with private landowners to improve the health and productivity of the natural resources on their land.
In 2004, my wife, Michelle, and I launched the first of several successful business ventures by opening an insurance agency focused on providing top notch service to the citizens of Eminence and the surrounding communities. Later that year we began to add real estate to the operation by building and purchasing several rental and investment properties. Following the success of these operations, we developed a passion for real estate that eventually lead to the purchase of a professional real estate brokerage.
I specialize in assisting clients with recreational, hunting, rental investment, and farm property needs.
I am a native of Shannon County, Missouri and grew up on a farm just south of Winona. I graduated from Winona High School and went on to attend Three Rivers Community College obtaining a degree in Agriculture & Forestry. After college I worked for the U.S. Forest Service for 5 years in forest management, timber sale administration, wildlife management, and wildland fire fighting. Today, in addition to being a real estate agent I own and operate Rockie's Barber Shop on the square in my hometown of Winona, Missouri. I currently live just outside Eminence, Missouri with my wife, Emily and son, Braxton. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and all the outdoor activities that the Missouri Ozarks has to offer. I love and appreciate the rural lifestyle this area provides and plan to raise my family and retire here in Shannon County. I would love to assist you with buying and selling your farm, vacant land, or recreational property.
I fell in love with the local area while camping and floating here as a child. The local area’s beauty, natural wonders, and its friendly people inspired me to get a degree in Wildlife Management and learn everything I could about the Ozarks. During my long career in the Ozarks I steadily worked my way closer to the Current River. Along that route I was a naturalist for Missouri State Parks, a wildlife biologist for the MO. Dept. of Conservation in Eminence, and I am currently an ecologist for the National Park Service. My wife Susan and I enjoy our Blooming Paradise Farm on Little Shawnee Creek, where we still love learning everything we can about nature and our area’s cultural history. This passion for the land and its people led me to join the Eminence United Country team. My advanced skills at mapmaking, locating property boundaries, and my experience at turning dreams of rural living into happy reality can bring sellers and buyers together to enjoy what others only dream about. I specialize in land outside the city limits, in both Shannon and Reynolds counties. Please contact me to assist you in evaluating the potential of any rural property.
I grew up in the Summersville area. I have lived in Eminence for 12 years now. I have 2 grown children and a step daughter, Samantha, Zach, and Brook. Samantha gave me a grandson, Ethan, whom I absolutely adore. Brook gave us our first grandson, Cooper, and he is such a blessing. I come from a big family and enjoy anything that involves spending time with them. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, hunting, traveling and exercise. I love spending time with our close friends on the river, riding UTV’s, or just cooking.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology & Sociology and a Masters Degree in Administrative Studies. I work for Consumer Direct, Florida from my home office. I have always been interested in Real Estate and I look forward to being in this business. I put my all into helping others and I am excited to be a part of this team!
Abby grew up in the Central Texas hill country. She was involved in a large cattle ranch that she and her siblings helped their Dad operate on the side. After graduating from Lampasas High School, she moved with her family to the Ozarks. Here she received her Associates degree from Drury University.
Abby has always enjoyed ranching, she now has a small cattle operation of her own. With her love for livestock and agriculture, it just seemed natural to take on a roll in the family’s feed business. Assisting in building from the ground up, Peterson Feeds is where she has spent the last 5 years of her working career.
Abby enjoys being outdoors. Her spare time is spent jet boating the Current River or side-by-side riding throughout the Ozark National Scenic Riverways surrounding Eminence, MO, most always with her dogs (Effie & Heidi) in tow.
Abby purchased the United Country Real Estate Ozark Rivers Realty office in Eminence, Missouri in the summer of 2021. Abby and her team of agents are excited to help anyone in the market to buy or sell real estate in our area!
Abby enjoys the beauty of the Ozarks and loves having the opportunity to show others what all it has to offer. Whether you are in the market for a home, ranch, recreational or commercial property, Abby will be determined to find the right piece of property for your needs and make it as smooth a transaction as possible.
